manufacturer to be able to offer you complete packages to meet your needs.
D&D Machine Guns can supply everything from Class 2 conversions, to
SBRs, and naturally suppressors to the properly licensed individual or
agency. Standard FFL transfers of non-NFA items can also be
performed.
Our first project was the design and production of an integrally
suppressed AR-15 in .458 SOCOM. The customer had provided several
components to be included in the rifle, and desired the shortest possible
package with the largest degree of noise reduction. In addition, the
rifle had to meet the minimum barrel length of 16" AND feature a
detachable suppressor. To meet these requirements, we moved the gas
port, reduced the OD of the barrel, added special threads close to the gas
block and ported the barrel. A custom suppressor with baffles was
constructed and mated to the gun. Sound pressure measurements using
OSHA-approved dB meters showed a 39 dB reduction in noise level at the
shooters location when fired inside a 10 x 20 ft. room with concrete
flooring. Ammunition consisted of subsonic 600-grain .458 SOCOM, and
final sound pressure levels registered at 108 dB.
